Strategic Acquisition: Airbus Defence and Space has announced a definitive agreement to acquire INFODAS, a prominent German cybersecurity and IT solutions provider headquartered in Cologne. The acquisition, subject to customary regulatory approvals, is slated for completion by the end of 2024.

Recognizing the escalating cyber threats and the growing digitalization and interconnectivity of its products and systems, Airbus views cybersecurity as an integral aspect of its development strategy.

Continued Focus on Cybersecurity: In recent years, Airbus has made significant strides in enhancing its cybersecurity capabilities and expertise. This concerted effort ensures robust protection for its products, operations, customers, and ecosystem, including flagship programs like the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).

Profile of INFODAS: INFODAS boasts approximately 250 employees and annual revenues of around 50 million euros. Headquartered in Cologne, the company maintains additional offices across Germany in Berlin, Bonn, Hamburg, Munich, and Mainz. INFODAS holds certifications from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) as an IT security service provider, encompassing areas such as information system auditing, consulting, and penetration tests.

Product Portfolio: INFODAS’ SDoT Security Gateway product family is accredited for classification levels up to secret. These products are certified in accordance with Common Criteria and hold other country-specific certificates, underscoring their reliability and compliance with stringent security standards.
